The Ikari Warriors downed the Laval Islanders, 9-2. The hitting star was designated hitter Adam Ugurlu. Ugurlu was 2-5 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Warriors. Ronald Mitchell, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 3rd save.
The game turned with two out in the top of the fifth when Ugurlu hit a 2-run single. It propelled the Warriors into the lead, 4-2.
"The vibe's good," said Ikari manager Peter Gore. "We've got to keep it going."
At 86-50, Ikari is in first place in the Pacific Alliance Cherry Blossom.
