Arroyos Win 3-2 Walk-Off

Bakersfield wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Oliver Flores, falling to the Yuma Arroyos, 3-2. Flores threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. Yuma pitcher César Alfonso got the win. He's now 1-0. António Sandoval was tagged with the loss. The win lifts Yuma to a record of 7-3.
The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Yuma trailing 2-0, Shan-tang Chen jumped on a 1-1 forkball from António Sandoval for a 3-run home run, sending the Arroyos to a walk-off win.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Chen told the Yuma Observer.
