The home crowd had a good time watching the Florida Farstriders and Kentucky Thoroughbreds get after it.

The Kentucky Thoroughbreds got a stellar effort from pitcher Roberto Rivera, helping Kentucky score a win over the visiting Florida Farstriders, 5-0. Rivera went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 5. His record improves to 2-1.

The game could have flipped with two out in the top of the fourth. But Roberto Rivera made what his manager later called "an A-plus pitch." With the bases loaded and Florida trailing 3-0, Rivera threw a fastball to Kaleb Felton and Felton grounded out.

Kentucky now has a record of 8-5.
