Claymores Suffer 6-5 Setback
The London Underground faced a tough opponent in Scottish pitcher Thomas Connolly, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Castle by a final score of 6-5. Connolly went 5 innings and allowed 1 run. Cecil Langley, now 1-2, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. London raised its record to 71-48 with the win.

London used the timely hitting of Rocky Nichols to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Underground ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"Winning never gets old," said Nichols.
