The Scottish Claymores did just enough to secure a victory over the London Underground, 3-2, at The Castle. Nobody did more than pitcher Carl Ford. Naonobu Tanaka notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record now sits at 1-0. Keiji Honda finished the game for Scottish and earned his 2nd save.

Scottish took a 3-2 lead on Eric Nelson's 3rd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Nelson hit in the bottom of the seventh, left London pitcher Richard Higgins shaking his head.

"This was a tough loss," said London manager Jorge Ornelas. "It'll stick in my craw for a while."

London drops to 7-4.
