Pivotal Game 5 Goes to Host Unifiers, 3-2
|
The Cincinnati Unifiers moved to within one game of the USCBA Championship Series today, downing the visiting East Carolina Sea Dawgs at Unifiers Ballpark by a score of 3-2. Unifiers right-hander Hugh Steuart had a strong outing in which he threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The win gives the Unifiers a 3-2 advantage in the best-of-7 Super Regionals.
Alex Eliott took Randy White deep in the bottom of the sixth. His 2-run home run put the Unifiers on top, 3-2. In all, Eliott had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
"No time for posing," said Steuart. "The next game will be here before you know it."
The next game is set to be played for Tuesday, May 24th , 2039 at Sea Dawgs Ballpark in Greenville.
