The Chesapeake Bay Oysters defeated the Clifton Dons, 1-0, in Game 2 of the Wild Card. Doing his part was starter Dan Wallace, who threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. The win moves Chesapeake Bay into a 1-1 tie with Clifton in the series.

Wallace delivered a quality start for Chesapeake Bay. The 6' 8" right-hander allowed no earned runs on 2 hits over 6.1 innings of work.

"They say the first rule of the playoffs is to win the home games," Wallace said afterward. "It feels nice, but it is kind of what we were supposed to do."

The next game is set to be played for Saturday, September 10th , 2039 at Clifton Stadium in Jersey City.
