Mamajuanas Defeat Flying Fish, 1-0

The Punta Cana Mamajuanas picked up a win at Safeway Grounds, taking down the Bridgetown Flying Fish, 1-0. Starting pitcher In-gu Cha was a big reason why. The save went to Francisco Acevedo, his 5th this season. Punta Cana, now 38-46, holds down 4th place in the Intercontinental Baseball Coalition Paradise League.
Punta Cana took a 1-0 lead on David Marshall's 19th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Bridgetown pitcher Ryosei Shiroi in the bottom of the seventh.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Punta Cana skipper Koto Hayashi.
