Wahoos Overcome Great Performance by Jiménez in Win
The Aruba Wahoos got a rain-soaked win over the Bridgetown Flying Fish.

The Aruba Wahoos had to overcome a big game from Bridgetown left fielder Marcos Jiménez to leave Kensington with a victory. And they did, winning 11-9. Jiménez slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Aruba currently is in first place in the Intercontinental Baseball Coalition Paradise League at 58-29.

Aruba relied on the hitting of Dave Gibson to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Wahoos on top, 10-6. For the game, Gibson had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Aruba manager Enrique Vázquez.
