The Santo Domingo Decepticons did just enough to sneak past the Puerto Plata Pacos, 4-3, at The Pit of Kaon. Santo Domingo pitcher Steve Erwin, in particular, had a standout performance. The Decepticons have an impressive 58-32 record.

The standout performance belonged to 19-year-old Erwin. With his baby face, he looked more like someone starting for a high school team than for the Decepticons. His performance, however, was nothing short of top-notch. The youngster dominated the Pacos, striking out 10 and scattering 4 hits over 7 innings. Erwin is now 10-4 on the season.

"We'll savor this win," Erwin told the Santo Domingo News, "then get ready for the next game."
