MacKay, Pirates Sink Gom Again in Game 2
Riding the 3-hit performance of first baseman William MacKay, the Mogadishu Pirates got a road win against the Gohueng Gom, 11-4, in Game 2 of the Divisional today. MacKay went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for the Pirates, who now lead the best-of-5 series, 2 games to 0.

Ed Gates aided the Mogadishu cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the third. For the game, the designated hitter went 3 for 5 with 2 doubles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2.

"We aren't quitting," Gohueng manager Sakutaro Fujii said. "Yeah, the odds are definitely in their favor, but they've got to earn it."

Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday at Nasra Agil Stadium in Mogadishu.
