Mogadishu Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in R2
The Mogadishu Pirates moved to within one game of the IBC Cup today, downing the visiting Aruba Wahoos at Nasra Agil Stadium by a score of 6-2. Pirates left-hander Blake McKinley had a strong outing in which he threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. The win gives the Pirates a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 Championship.

McKinley, who was born in San Antonio, Texas, threw 82 pitches over 7 innings, while allowing no runs.

"I like to keep things lively in the clubhouse," said McKinley. "Believe me, it's much easier after a win."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Nasra Agil Stadium in Mogadishu.
