Castro, Depredadores del Peravia Sink Segadoras de Cafe Again in Game 3
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of third baseman José Castro, the Bani Depredadores del Peravia got a road win against the Moca Segadoras de Cafe, 4-2, in Game 3 of the Serie de Dominicana Final today. Castro went 3-5 with a home run, a triple, and a double, while scoring 2 for the Depredadores del Peravia, who now lead the best-of-9 series, 3 games to 0.
Runs were few and far between in this one. So, Héctor Mejía's at-bat with two out in the top of the eighth was crucial. The Bani catcher reached on an error by the SS, driving in 2 runs, to give his team a 4-2 lead.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Bani manager Ashley Roberts.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Segadoras de Café Ballpark in Moca.
