San Luis Potosi Breaks Through for First Win in Semifinals; Now Trails 2-1
The San Luis Potosi Jardineros have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Queretaro Desperados, winning 3-1 at San Luis Potosí Grounds today. Jardineros left-hander Ramón Torres threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Jardineros to 2-1 in the best-of-7 Semifinals.

The Desperados had few good swings against Torres, the left-hander, who threw 94 pitches over 7 innings. He allowed just 1 run on 3 hits.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said San Luis Potosi skipper Dave Copeland.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at San Luis Potosí Grounds in San Luis Potosí.
