Borealis Upend Zephyrs, 1-0
|
The Aurora Borealis topped the Reno Zephyrs, 1-0, in Sovereign League action at Washoe Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Aurora pitcher Armando Batista. The win gives Aurora a record of 5-7.
José Alemán drove in one run for Aurora. The 2035 Wunderkind Award winner had a key at-bat in the top of the second. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Jorge Pagán. It was his 2nd RBI of the season.
"I made some pitches when I had to," said Batista.
