It might have been a rain-shorted game, but Golden Sands fans didn't seem to mind as long as their team got the win.

Nolan McMahon knocked in all 4 runs for the Aberdeen Golden Sands, helping them beat the Akron Ambers, 4-2. The victory makes Aberdeen 5-6.

McMahon contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Aberdeen in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 2-0, McMahon took a cutter from Iemitsu Kato and stroked the home run to right-center. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Golden Sands to leap in front, 4-2.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Akron skipper Tommy Taylor, "and it cost us."
