|
The Beantown Browns got a strong performance from pitcher Victor Hewat, who stymied the Aberdeen offense en route to a win, 3-2, at Gold Street Park. The winning pitcher was Hewat, now 1-2. He tossed 8 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 5. Colm Stanbra was called on to finish, recording his 6th save.
Beantown took control in the top of the sixth. With two out and the bases empty, José Ramírez hit a solo home run to make it 3-2, Browns.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Hewat said after the game.
