Beantown picked up a win at Gold Street Park, bumping off the Aberdeen Golden Sands, 4-2. Pitcher Santiago García was a major reason the Browns emerged victorious. In 7.2 innings, García surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 0. He allowed 2 runs. The win takes Beantown to 11-14.
Beantown used a well-timed hit by Unissa Commie to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Browns ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Commie said.
