Tinajon Thrill Fans with 3-2 Win
|
The Beantown Browns went down to defeat to Hyo-cheong Cho and his Camaguey teammates. The final score was 3-2 in favor of the Tinajon. Camaguey reliever Lúcio Ríos picked up the win, upping his record to 3-3. Bill Adams was saddled with the loss. Camaguey, at 16-17, sits in 4th place in the Appalachian Mountain League Europe and Islands.
José Salgado was the walk-off hero for Camaguey. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Tinajon second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I like to lead by example," said Salgado. "I'm glad I could contribute to a good win."
