The Mansfield Mohicans picked up a win at Sprinters Ballpark, knocking off the Newport News Anchormen, 6-3. Starting pitcher José Salas was a big reason why. Salas picked up the win for Mansfield, going 7 innings. He gave up no runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 7-0. Mansfield goes to 33-14. The win puts them 5½ games up in their division.
