Warriors Snatch Late Win
|
Last man standing. Which team would it be?
Duluth Warriors starter René Padilla was in fine form against the Palm Springs Codgers at Elderberry Field, leading his team to a win, 5-4. Quentin Marriage snagged the win in relief. In 2 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit. He's now 1-1 on the season.
It could have been a different outcome for Duluth, had it not been for Noah Hill, the 30-year old second baseman . Hill contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the 18th inning to put Duluth up, 5-4.
"I'm glad this one's going in the books as a 'W'," Hill said.
The win takes Duluth to 5-11.
