Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Electric
|
Eindhoven pitcher Ramón Martínez did his part in helping his team beat the Fayetteville Braggarts, 1-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Eindhoven reliever Jason Davis got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Thomas Casillas was tagged with the loss. The Electric raised their record to 29-28.
Declan Wanlace was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk for Eindhoven. The 23-year old designated hitter had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring walk off Thomas Casillas. It was his 16th walk of the season.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Wanlace said.
