El Dorados Win Close Shave, 3-2
|
Another game, another loss for the struggling Aberdeen Golden Sands.
The Raleigh El Dorados topped the Aberdeen Golden Sands, 3-2, in Appalachian Mountain League action at Gold Street Park. The standout performance belonged to Raleigh pitcher and Cativa, Panama, native Manuel Guerra. Raleigh is now riding a 4-game win streak.
Pedro Esparza, the 24-year old shortstop , had a direct impact on the outcome. Esparza contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth inning to put Raleigh up, 3-2.
"Luck comes in waves -- good and bad," said Aberdeen manager Yoichibei Suzuki. "So, we've got to keep pressing on."
