Dons Rebuff Electric, 5-3

Clifton picked up a win at Clifton Stadium, bumping off the Eindhoven Electric, 5-3. Pitcher Gary Norris was a major reason the Dons emerged victorious. In 6 innings, Norris surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 4. He allowed 2 runs. Manuel Ávila locked down his 2nd save.
Mark Anderson had a big bases-clearing double for the Dons in the bottom of the first inning. With Clifton leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from Víctor Vargo and swatted a double to right. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Dons ahead, 4-0.
Norris told a Clifton Herald reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
The current losing streak for Eindhoven has reached 4 games.
