The Akron Ambers defeated the Evansville Tri-Staters, 3-2, at Tri-Staters Ballpark. Akron designated hitter Lucas Fullerton had a superb performance. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. The Ambers move to 29-47 with the win, while the Tri-Staters drop to 42-34.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for José Reyes? The Akron center fielder had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning to put the Ambers on top, 2-1. For the game, Reyes had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Reyes told a Akron Chronicle reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
