Oilers Clip Deltas, 2-1
|
The Long Beach Oilers had to overcome a fine performance from Sacramento pitcher Mike Crabtree to grab a 2-1 win at Ballpark of Queens. Crabtree allowed no runs over 6 innings. The loss drops Sacramento to 9-9.
The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Long Beach trailing 1-0, Connor Clavell jumped on a 0-2 changeup from Alfonso Ramos for a 2-run home run, sending the Oilers to a walk-off win.
"What a buzz," said Clavell after it was over.
