Ken Henderson was a major factor in the 8-6 Aberdeen win over Fayetteville. The Golden Sands second baseman was 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Robert DeCarewe came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. His record now stands at 2-5. Their 51-74 record puts the Golden Sands 4th in the Appalachian Mountain League Europe and Islands.

Aberdeen used a well-timed hit by León Sánchez to capture the win. The catcher socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Golden Sands ahead, 6-2. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Henderson.
