The Scottish Claymores beat the San Antonio Calzones of Laredo, 4-0. Scottish pitcher and Dundalk, Maryland, native Carl Ford led the way. Ford got the win, improving to 4-0. He allowed 2 hits and walked 0 over 6 innings. Ford allowed no runs. The Claymores, now 15-5, have been on fire in the early going.

Scottish took a 4-0 lead on Tomás Martínez's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off San Antonio pitcher Ron Wilson in the top of the seventh.
