Behind the bravura of right fielder John Reeves, the Chandler Waxers topped the Kyoto Rodan by the score of 4-0. Reeves was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 2 for the Waxers. Early on, the Waxers, at 19-8, have excelled.

With Chandler leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Reeves hit a circle change from Shan-bo Zheng for a 2-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Waxers ahead, 3-0.
