Guest Kingpins Win, 3-2, at Racine
|
The Racine Lakers got a sterling performance from pitcher Bob Donogan, but the Iowa City Kingpins still prevailed, 3-2. Donogan threw 6.0 innings allowing 3 runs. Arthur Massingham collected his 9th save. The victory puts Iowa City at 13-21.
Iowa City won the game because of players like Tony Sánchez. The 27-year-old center fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the fifth, putting his team up, 2-0.
"No one player deserves all the credit when you win," Sánchez said. "And the same is true when you lose."
