Ishikawa Silences Yokohama Bats
Both teams had their chances, but the Henderson Fighting Scotts eventually prevailed.

The Henderson Fighting Scotts eked out a 1-0 win versus the Yokohama Plumbers at Ballpark of Henderson. Nobody did more than pitcher Takesi Ishikawa. He was terrific. Picking up the save was Cameron Gow, his 6th.

Ishikawa was in the zone all game. He frustrated Yokohama hitters while giving the Fighting Scotts 8 innings of quality work. Ishikawa threw 85 pitches, allowing 2 hits and getting 6 punchouts.

In postgame comments to the Henderson Citizen, Ishikawa said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."

The Fighting Scotts improved to 28-12.
