Sano Delivers Walk-Off Win for Skyelanders
|
Glendale beat Kyoto on the strength of starter Ramón Carlos's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 2-0. The win belongs to Justin Simms in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Yao-qing Qi took the loss for Kyoto. The 4th-place Skyelanders are now 22-20, the Rodan 26-16.
Yeijiro Sano won the game for Glendale when homered off Yao-qing Qi in the bottom of the 11th.
Carlos attributed the win to his team's "hyper resolve."
