The Youngstown Thunder topped the Santurce Castillos, 8-7, in 13 innings. Youngstown left fielder Harumi Okamoto, in particular, was impressive. He was 3 for 6 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Youngstown reliever Michael Johnson was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Shawn Bradley took the loss. The loss puts Santurce at 4-2.

The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the 13th. With Youngstown trailing 7-6, Okamoto hit a fastball from Shawn Bradley for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Thunder had a walk-off win.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Okamoto said after the game.
