The Maine Lobsters overcame a good performance by Inverness third baseman Júlio Luna to knock off Inverness, 8-7, at The Fortress at Inverness. Luna was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 4. Bob Simms nailed down his 2nd save. Inverness falls to 4-3.

Maine used a clutch hit from Jhong-shun Zheng to get the win. The designated hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Lobsters ahead, 8-7. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a doozy.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Maine manager Tsugahara Fujita.
