The Narragansett Seagulls pounded the Omaha Insurers, 15-2, at Narragansett Stadium. Narragansett catcher Sotaro Yamamoto had a solid game. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Seagulls. Omaha falls to 3-3.

With Narragansett leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Yamamoto hit a fastball from Wayne Flowers for a run-scoring triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Seagulls ahead, 2-0.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Omaha manager Tetsu Konishi. "We got the snot knocked out of us."
