A good performance from center fielder Gabriel Santos helped the Delaware Diamonds defeat the Youngstown Thunder, 15-6. Santos was 3-5 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Diamonds. Youngstown, now 2-13, continues its dreadful start.

Delaware grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Miguel Martínez delivered a 2-run single, to make it 4-2 in favor of the Diamonds.

In postgame comments to the Delaware Observer, Martínez said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
