Insurers Get Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
The Omaha Insurers got a stellar performance from pitcher Sergio Orozco, who handcuffed the Santurce offense en route to a win, 8-1, at Cyclones Stadium. The winning pitcher was Orozco, now 1-2. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 6. Víctor Castro finished to wrap up his 1st save.

The Castillos had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Insurers going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 21-year old third baseman Katsunosuki Kawano came to the plate. Kawano hit a run-scoring double on a 1-2 changeup from Santurce hurler Kikaku Takahashi. It was Kawano's 2nd double of the year.

"There are times you get yourself out and there are times you come through," Orozco said. "That's how it goes."

Omaha is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 6th win in 17 games.
