Youngstown Beats Port-au-Prince, 7-2
|
Youngstown Thunder starter Salvador Delozada was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Port-au-Prince Bokors, 7-2. Youngstown reliever Kinnosuke Honma was the winner. His record is now 1-2. Tyler Dotson took the loss. The Thunder, with only their 3rd win in 20 games, could be the worst team in the league.
Andrew Hampton drove in 2 runs for Youngstown. The 21-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Tyler Dotson. It was his 6th RBI of the season.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Hampton told the Youngstown Chronicle.
