Extra-Inning Win by Castillos Over Diamonds
|
The Santurce Castillos electrified the crowd with a walk-off win.
Santurce pitcher Júlio Barrera did his part in helping his team beat the Delaware Diamonds, 3-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Santurce reliever Shawn Bradley picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Adam Marshall was saddled with the loss.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the tenth, with Santurce trailing 2-1, Jung-min Yang hit a cutter from Adam Marshall for a 2-run home run, giving the Castillos the walk-off win.
"Júlio -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Castillos manager Pepe Rico. "He was the key to us winning."
The loss drops Delaware to 17-8.
