Sea Lions Walk It Off for 11th Win of Season
The Monterey Sea Lions got a strong performance from pitcher Will Hawkins, who stymied the Narragansett offense en route to a win, 6-2, at Monterey Grounds. Monterey reliever Ánibal Cruz picked up the win to move to 1-1. Bobby Fitzgerald suffered the loss. Monterey, now 11-17, is off to a slow start.

Rick Thomas was the walk-off hero for Monterey. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Sea Lions right fielder hit a dramatic grand slam home run to send the teams home.

"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Hawkins said.
