Luna Lifts Highlanders to 5-4 Win
|
Though the conditions were not ideal, the Inverness Highlanders and Omaha Insurers came back from a rain delay to finish their game.
Inverness third baseman Júlio Luna made his presence felt in the 5-4 Highlanders triumph over the Omaha Insurers. Luna hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Inverness reliever Horiuchi Shimizu picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Roberto Guzmán absorbed the loss.
Luna contributed in the bottom of the first. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Inverness get the win.
"I like the roll we're on," said Inverness manager Chad Fountain.
The losing streak for Omaha has now reached 5 games.
