Omaha Beats Inverness, 3-1
|
The Omaha Insurers defeated the Inverness Highlanders, 3-1, in Atlantic Alliance action at Cyclones Stadium. Omaha pitcher Jung-gwon Pak had a standout performance. Getting the save was Yoshimi Kohara, his 8th. Omaha is now 14-25, while Inverness is 18-21.
The Insurers got a big at-bat from shortstop Marcos Solís. For the game, Solís was 2-4 with a double. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 3rd double of the season gave Omaha a 2-1 lead.
