Port-au-Prince got a decent performance from pitcher Taizo Otsuka, but it wasn't enough to beat the Santurce Castillos. Santurce won the Santurce Stadium contest, 7-4. Otsuka threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. The winner was Santurce reliever Kikaku Takahashi, now 2-7. The loser was Taizo Otsuka. Sang-ton Kim sewed up the save, his 1st.
Santurce grabbed control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Zhong-shan Geng delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 5-4 in favor of the Castillos.
"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Geng told the Santurce Daily.
The Castillos are now 28-44, while the Bokors fall to 24-49.
