5-Hit Barrage by Croucher
The Bowling Green Rebels stopped the Omaha Insurers by a score of 20-7 at Cyclones Stadium today, with the lion's share of the credit going to right fielder Ewan Croucher. The 22-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.

"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Croucher said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."

Croucher did just that in his 7 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Insurers.

"Not much that I can say," offered Omaha manager Tetsu Konishi. "He just hammered the heck out of us."

Ewan Croucher singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.

For the season Croucher has produced 74 hits in 230 at-bats for a .322 average with 6 home runs and gotten on base at a .369 clip.
