Trendsetters Top Farstriders, 6-3
|
Florida shortstop Kaleb Felton was sensational. He was 4-4 with 3 doubles, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. New Orleans beat the Farstriders, 6-3. Antony Batticelli earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. His record is now 2-0. Florida falls to 18-11.
New Orleans left fielder Richard Mancuso contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two down, he hit a splitter into center field for a 2-run single. It was his 30th hit of the season and put the Trendsetters ahead, 6-3.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Mancuso told the New Orleans Citizen. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
