Ghosts Get One-Run Win at Neo-Tokyo
The umbrellas came out during the Niihama-shi-Neo-Tokyo contest at Neo-Tokyo Grounds.

The Niihama-shi Ghosts got a good effort from starter Connor Leith in defeating the Neo-Tokyo Akira at Neo-Tokyo Grounds. The final score was 2-1. The save was credited to Noritada Akiyama, his 2nd.

Esteban Rodríguez's at-bat in the top of the sixth was significant for the Ghosts. Coming to the plate with the bases loaded and Niihama-shi leading 1-0, the Ghosts second baseman hit a sacrifice fly.

"We didn't string enough hits together to win the game," said tight-lipped Neo-Tokyo manager David Bell. "Obviously."

Niihama-shi, now 18-11, has played well in the early going.
