Delaware and Omaha got after it at Ballpark of Deleware.

The 9-7 Delaware win over Omaha was due in large part to Jesús López. The Diamonds shortstop went 2 for 2 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The winner in relief was Rich Kinnult. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 4.2 innings. He now owns a record of 3-5.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Diamonds grabbed the lead when Beco Wolton rapped a two-out double. Delaware was trailing 7-5, when Wolton hit a bases-clearing double off Javier Garza to put his team in front, 8-7.

"It feels good to get this one," López told the Delaware Times.

After today's action, Delaware sits at 41-47; Omaha slips to 31-57.
