Orlando Lara helped his team muscle past the Omaha Insurers, 8-7. In the game, the Beaufort center fielder hit 3 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring three times. The winner in relief was Paul de Kook. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. He now owns a record of 2-1. Beaufort, at 63-31, holds down first place in the Atlantic Alliance South.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Lara hit a curveball from Yoshimi Kohara for a solo home run. The Loggerdoggers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
