Delaware Diamonds starter Ángel López was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Monterey Sea Lions, 6-5. The win belongs to Masaaki Watanabe in relief. His record improves to 7-7. Luis Valéncia took the loss for Monterey. The Diamonds' win now puts them at 44-50.

The clutch hit was provided by Tommy Murdoch. He delivered a walk-off run-scoring double off Luis Valéncia in the bottom of the 11th.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Murdoch told the Delaware Times.
