Den Bosch Gets 6-4 Road Win
|
Yong-jun Kang did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Youngstown Thunder from losing, 6-4, to the Den Bosch Dykes at Thunder Ballpark. Kang went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The winner was Lúcio Saldaña, who threw 93 pitches over 5 innings. The left-hander was charged with 3 runs on 6 hits. The save was Freddy Galló's, his 29th.
Den Bosch relied on the bat of José Barajas to get the win. The right fielder ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Dykes ahead, 5-3. For the game, Barajas had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"Every win gets us closer to our ultimate goal," said Barajas.
Den Bosch, at 76-33, is cruising.
